Cervical Radiculopathy:

Caused By:

  • Damage to the nerve root
  • Pain will be present in that part of the body that nerve supplies
  • Herniated disc ruptures and presses against a nerve root
  • Spinal Stenosis: bones that make up the spinal canal grow inward causing squeezing of the spinal cord and/or nerve roots.
  • Degenerative disc disease: spinal disc becomes weakened and dehydrated which causes a narrowing of the disc space and pinching of the nerve root.

Treatment Options:

Cervical Epidural Steroid Injection if conservative care does not help.

By reducing the swelling of the pinched nerve the pain usually improves and may not return for long periods of time.
